That's correct. Even to use the completely free version of JW7, you need to set up an account with them and get a license key. So, you could distribute it with your skin, but users would have to get a license key and enter it in your UI somewhere. Kind of a pain. For now, I'm sticking with JW6, which does everything I need. JW7 has some nice styling options - the skins are simpler and more readily changeable than they used to be. Mostly what it has is a lot of stuff that none of us is using in a skin, anyway, regarding advertising, live streaming, analytics, and so on. The next step for me will be to dump all video player scripting, and just use an HTML5 video tag. For audio, that means either not having a playlist, or finding a small script somewhere to implement one (just detecting "end," and grabbing the next audio in the list. For anyone who wants to compare "look and feel" of JW6 and JW7. BTW, JW7 gets rid of the logo, but almost everyone who uses JW6 already knows how to get rid of it in that version, too - add this to your CSS: It'll still show up if it falls back to Flash (for IE8 and Firefox on WinXP), but 99% of visitors will never see it. Now that the new version gets rid of the logo, I have no qualms about getting rid of it in JW6. Posts: 1,754 Registered: 12/14/07.
